Inman Primary School is collecting box tops. Please help us out by cutting BOX TOPS from your favorite foods and sending them to IPS! Each one puts us 10 cents closer to our goal! Thank you for your support and help!

WINTER RECESS

Research studies have shown that taking a break from a task and moving around in order to get oxygen to the brain will increase one’s readiness to learn. Our students go outside (weather permitting) in order to get fresh air and work off some of their energy. Recesses are part of the scheduled school day. All students are expected to participate in recess. During winter months, students will go outside for recess unless the temperature or wind-chill is below zero degrees. Please dress students appropriately during the winter months. Please remember coats, hats and mittens. If this is a hardship for your family please contact the office at 712-623-6635 and we would be glad to help in any way we can.

Your Kids Are #1!!!!

Yes!! That's right! Red Oak Elementary Art is #1 in the state on Artsonia for artwork submitted!!! That's out of 92 schools! We are number 60 in the nation out of over 3200 schools!!! This just happpened over the holiday weekend so I can't wait to tell the kids! They will be so excited!!
Now we need YOUR help! PLEASE go into Artsonia and write comments about your child's artwork. Also give the information to friends and family and get as many people as you can to join your child's fanclub. Our overall state ranking is 14 and the kids really want to see this go up, but that can only happen with your help. I have been trying to go onto each child's site and have them write comments on their own pieces but with 570 students this is very time consuming so your help would be very much appreciated!
While you are on the site, have your child write comments about some of their friends artwork also! Every little bit helps! You might even want to do some Christmas shopping while you are on the site. There isn't anything like a one of a kind gift for that hard to buy for special person.
