Iowa schools are increasingly implementing whole grade acceleration (grade skipping) with favorable results for gifted learners, K - 8, using the Iowa Acceleration Scale. Attend this workshop to 1) gain understanding of the Iowa Acceleration Scale process or 2) refine your skills in using the IAS in your district and 3) begin the data collection and analysis for a gifted learner. Participants should bring all available data about at least one gifted learner who may potentially need to grade skip. Time will be allotted to begin work on one IAS.
