Beginning in Mid February students will be working in groups of two or three to create 3-D islands. Each group will need a base that is no bigger than 20"X25". An old piece of wood works great. Students also need to start gathering supplies for their islands, including but not limited to: twigs, toothpicks, gravel, sand, cotton balls, and grass. Most groups will be making home made play-dough to build their landforms. The recipe on my homepage works very well. Cream of Tartar is the only item that might need to be purchased. Please don't go buy anything else for the island, whatever you can find lying around the house will be perfect.
