Physical Science -- all year
Grade 9 Required Course
Credit: 2 (one per semester)
An introductory course to the study of matter (chemistry) and
energy (physics). General topics of study include machines,
electricity and magnetism, sound, heat, light, weather and climate,
and the particle model of matter. Extensive use is made of the
laboratory to assist students in their understanding of important
science concepts, processes, and ideas. Emphasis is placed on the
understanding of the interrelationships among science, technology,
and society.
