2 Red Oak Wrestlers Advance to State Tournament

Two Red Oak Wrestlers advanced to the State Wrestling Tournament by finishing in the top two spots at the District Tournament held in Harlan on Saturday.   Cole Meek earned 2nd place in the 145 lb. weight class by defeating John Young of Creston 5-2 in a wrestleback match.  Seth Esaias finished 2nd at 171.  Red Oak’s 112 lb Freshman, Geoff Sellers placed 3rd. The State Tournament will be held in Des Moines starting Wednesday, Feb 17 at 1:00 p.m. .
