Infinite Campus Parent Portal Ready
At the beginning of the 2010-2011 school year, the Red Oak Community School District transitioned its student information software to a new Internet based program called Infinite Campus. One of the important features of Infinite Campus is the Campus Portal. Through the portal, parents/guardians can access their students’ schedules, coursework, attendance information, current lunch account balances, PaySchools, and academic reports via the Internet. The District is excited about the potential the Campus Portal provides for keeping parents/guardians informed and for opening two-way communication between the school and families about students’ educational progress.
Parents/guardians will be receiving letters from the school explaining how to gain access to their students’ records. Included in the mailing are census verification forms, basic guidelines, and a signature page. District officials ask that parents/guardians read the census verification forms carefully to ensure accuracy. This includes correct household members and relationships, addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts, spelling, etc. If all information is accurate, parents/guardians are asked to bring the signed signature page to the Red Oak Community Schools Central Office at 904 Broad Street. If there are changes that need to be made, note the changes on each form and bring the signed signature page and corrected census forms to the Central Office. Once all information is correct, parents/guardians will be given the information necessary to gain access to the portal.
