All Red Oak Schools Implement Buzzer Security System

Red Oak CSD continues its efforts to provide for the safest environment for students and employees. Video secure access systems (buzzer entry) are now installed and operational at Inman Primary, Washington Intermediate, Red Oak Middle, and the buildings on the campus of Red Oak High. The main entrance to each building is now equipped with a security camera and intercom. It becomes operational on Tuesday, September 2.

After the start of each school day the doors will be locked. All students, parents, and visitors will be required to push an intercom button, and then state their name and the purpose of their visit prior to gaining entry into the building. School staff will make a visual and verbal determination prior to granting building access. In addition, all parents and visitors will continue to sign in at the office and wear a visitor badge while in the school.
