Red Oak High School Presents the musical "Cats" by Andrew Lloyd Webber

Come and join the Red Oak High School Vocal Music students in their production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber hit musical, “Cats”, based on Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T.S Elliot.  The musical tells the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles and the night they make what is known as “the Jellicle choice” to decide which cat will ascend to the Heavyside Layer and come back to a new life.  “Cats” is full of lively and touching music including the Broadway standard “Memory”.

Cats” is the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history and has been performed all around the world, having been translated into 20 different languages.

The Red Oak students have been working many hours since the beginning of January to put on this challenging production.  Over 45 students and many adult helpers have worked to bring this monumental musical to life.  The production is under the direction of Tim Marsden, ROHS director of vocal music.  “Cats” is a wonderful musical that the entire family will enjoy.

The production runs, Friday, February 26 at 7:30 PM, Saturday, February 27 at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, February 28 at 2:30 PM.  Tickets are $7.00 for adults and $6.00 for students.  Tickets may be obtained by either stopping at the ROHS office or calling them at 623-6610.  Tickets will also be sold at the door.
