Catching up with Boys Basketball

1/11/12

The boys basketball team has come back from Christmas break and jumped right into a busy portion of the schedule, with 4 games in 7 days.  Friday, January 6th the Tigers improved their record to 3-7 with a thrilling 67-63 victory over Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson.  The Tigers jumped out to an 18-1 lead in the first quarter behind solid defense and hot shooting from Andy Vial. Swimmer

Brandon Farnum a junior at Red Oak High and a member of the Lewis Central swim team will compete in the final swim meet of the year Saturday January 21st at Lewis Central. Brandon is currently ranked 6th in the 100 free with a time of 48.61 and 17th in the 50 free with a time of 22.53. After this meet Brandon will compete in the District swim meet at South East Polk on February 4th with a chance to go to the State Meet in Marshalltown on February 11th. We wish Brandon the best of luck in his upcoming swim meets! Brandon will be honored at the February 13th ROCS Board Meeting.
