May, ’11 School Site Accreditation Report will result in a documented District Professional Development Plan, a site specific Building Professional Development Plan, and Individual Professional Development Plans. Work will begin immediately. Updates provided at the 10.5 TQ meeting.
May, ’11 District Equity Report will result in diversity training for all district employees. This will be completed as soon as arrangements can be made.
Effects on the TQC in 2011 – 2012: High School instructional model decision; one-to-one computer initiative; and schools in need of assistance professional development.
Reflections on the PLC At Work Institute (early August): concentration must be on those who are experienced in Red Oak but never attended.
TQC concern and attention: professional development dollars will be needed for all teachers involved in the one-to-one computer initiative. Tech Committee reps are invited to the 10.5 meeting to provide guidance.
Opening of schools pre-service days: days quite full – literacy training was rated excellent
Limited discussion was given to the February 20, 2012 professional development day with Kenneth Williams.
Adequate Yearly Progress report by C & I Director Barb Sims – progress made rated as substantial – work continues to get off the SINA list. Proficiency targets are rising again.
Mentoring Coordinator Deb Blomstedt review activities planned for 9.12 and 9.13. The mentor group is significantly larger in this new school year.
Remaining TQC meeting dates for FY 12 are 10.5, 11.2, 12.7, 1.4, 2.1, 3.7, 4.4, and 5.2

10.5 – Tech Committee representatives to discuss PD needs
