A lawsuit was filed against Martin Brothers who is a food distributor for Iowa schools.  Our district has been listed as one of the many school districts in Iowa that has done business with Martin Brothers.  The district has purchased food items from Martin Brothers through The Iowa Association for Educational Purchasing.

For each student who attended an IEC-Member School, you will be entitled to receive a one-time payment of up to $3.50 per year of attendance up to a maximum of $50 per student if you submit a valid, sworn and timely claim.  If you are unsure whether the schools you identify are members of the IEC, you can check the list of IEC-Member Schools available.   The Red Oak Community School District has been a member since 2003.  http://www.iowaschoolfoodsettlement.com/school-list.aspx

To receive reimbursement you must file a claim by September 30, 2014.  You will need to fill out information on the claim form for each of your children who attended one of the schools listed between the years of 2000 and 2014.  https://gilardisecure.com/iowaschoolfoodsettlement/Claimant/ClaimForm
