Red Oak Community School District, Thought Exchange Survey

In assessing our instructional programs and overall effectiveness as a school district we are seeking feedback from a variety of district stakeholders regarding what we are doing well and how we can improve our schools. We are using an electronic “crowdsourcing” platform, called a Thought Exchange, to collect input and ideas from parents, students, school personnel, board members, business owners, community leaders and others who have a vested interest in the success of our schools.  We are hoping as many people as possible participate using the following link: https://my.thoughtexchange.com/scroll/872489105.

This Thought Exchange is not a typical online survey. Participants are asked to share their thoughts and rate the ideas of others using a five-point scale. Participants are encouraged to rate at least 20 other comments for each thought they submit. Computer analytics then group and prioritize the feedback based on participant feedback and ratings.  To ensure the accuracy of ratings, participants should separate their ideas into different submissions or thoughts. Participants may respond as many times as they like.

It is important to note that participation is strictly confidential, so no one will know who shared or rated which thoughts. We do ask that you keep your comments focused, constructive and respectful. The analytics program will automatically remove comments containing profanity or personally disparaging or hurtful remarks.

Ultimately, the highest priority thoughts or ideas will be considered by focus groups during an upcoming School Improvement Advisory Committee meeting. These groups will make recommendations to the Board as to how we can continue to improve our schools.

Again, we are hoping as many people as possible participate in this Thought Exchange. Please share this link, https://my.thoughtexchange.com/scroll/872489105, with anyone who is committed to the success of the Red Oak CSD.  The Thought Exchange will be open through Wednesday, January 20.
