2021 School Board Election
The Red Oak Community School District has three at-large Board of Directors positions up for election in November 2021. Candidates must be an eligible elector. An eligible elector must be: a citizen of the United States; a resident of Iowa; and at least 18 years old. An eligible elector may not: be a convicted felon (unless voting rights have been restored by the president or governor, including via Executive Order), be currently judged incompetent to vote by a court; or claim the right to vote in any other place.
Interested candidates need to complete an Affidavit of Candidacy and Nomination Petition for Non-Partisan Office. The Nomination Petition must have a minimum of 48 eligible electors of the Red Oak Community School District. It is recommended that a candidate get more than the required 48 signatures in the event some are not eligible electors of the district. These forms can be returned the the District Administrative Center at 604 S Broadway beginning August 23, 2021 and no later than 5:00 p.m. on September 16, 2021. Forms can be found below.
