STATE TOURNAMENT INFORMATION - RED OAK BOYS BASKETBALL
Congratulations to Coach Spencer Plank and the boys basketball team on earning a trip to the state basketball tournament! It has been 29 years since the boys basketball team has played in the state tournament! We know our Red Oak community will show up in full force to support the team! Please read the information below for spectators, supporters, and families.
Community Pep Rally and Fundraiser
There will be a community pep rally and fundraiser on Friday, March 4th in the Jr.-Sr. High Cafeteria and Orange Gymnasium. The funds raised will go directly toward the costs associated with the state basketball tournament trip. Pre-ordered state basketball t-shirts will also be available for pick up on this night. There will be a free will donation dinner from 6:00-7:00 PM along with a silent auction outside the gym. The pep rally and live auction will begin at 7:00 PM. A signed basketball and jersey will be auctioned live!
If supporters are unable to attend the pep rally and fundraiser, but would like to make a donation, there are three ways to donate: 1) Drop the donation by our front office during school hours - checks can be made out to ROAB (Red Oak Athletic Boosters) 2) Venmo @RedOakAthleticBoosters 3) Donate with credit/debit card - Red Oak Athletic Boosters Square Site.

Game Day Information
The boys basketball team will play on Monday, March 7th vs Central Lyon (Rock Rapids) at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 PM. Tickets can be bought online at: https://www.iowaeventscenter.
Each ticket is good for all games on Monday, March 7th. In other words, with the purchase of a ticket for Monday, March 7th, spectators may attend any of the games previous to our game and/or attend the game after our game. Seating is general admission. Children who are in school (Kindergarten and above) require a ticket. Red Oak will be the visiting team. Red Oak spectators will sit opposite the scorer’s table. When the game is over, fans are encouraged to stand and face the floor, exit to their right and go to any place in the arena they want to sit, while the next two teams’ fans will fill in the middle seats. Wells Fargo Arena has implemented a clear bag policy for all events. A maximum size of 12”x16”x12” is permitted. Exceptions will be made for medical, family, or child care bags or small clutches no larger than 4.5”x 6.5”.

Pep Bus Information
Pep bus information will be emailed to 7-12 parents/guardians in a separate email.
Pep Band Information
Pep band information will be communicated with pep band participants and families by Director Wood.
Cheerleader Information
Cheerleader information will be communicated with cheerleaders and families by Coaches Lombard and Ruhl.
