2024-2025 School Calendar
On February 20, 2024, the Red Oak Board of Directors held a public hearing and subsequently approved a 2024-2025 District Calendar. This calendar features 1,105 hours of instruction, an August 23, 2024 school start date, and an end date of May 23, 2025. This calendar moves Wednesday early outs to Friday afternoons.

The Board also approved an alternate calendar to be be implemented only if the Iowa Legislature adopts a proposed measure that would allow districts to begin school on the Tuesday following the conclusion of the Iowa State Fair. This calendar also includes 1,105 hours of instruction and Friday early dismissals. It would have school begin on August 20, 2024 and end on May 22, 2025.
